# Cancel Your UP/DOWN Vote Guide

We understand that there are different situations where users change their minds after the vote is placed. We allow users to cancel their prediction on a placement day for free until midnight (UTC). Between 00:00-00:30 UTC, your vote will be pending, so at this time, you won't be able to interact with a vote. After 00:30 UTC on the next day, you can cancel a vote by paying a fee. Here's a guide on how to do it:\
\
1\. Firstly, you should find a project on the main page or via a search engine. There you would see a "Voted" button highlighted in yellow. You should click on it to reach your vote page.

\
2\. On the vote page you should find a "Cancel vote" button on the right part of the page. \

\
3\. Finally, you will see a cancel vote widget. There you will see how much a fee for cancelling would cost you. \

\
4\. After you click a "confirm canceling" button - your vote will be successfully canceled.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.orioleinsights.io/home/how-to-guides/cancel-your-up-down-vote-guide.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
