# Requirements and eligibility for participation in Polls Prediciton Markets

Participation in **Binary & Categorical Prediction Markets** may be subject to specific eligibility criteria defined for each poll. These criteria ensure participants have the appropriate experience or expertise to contribute meaningfully.

* [**User Level:**](/home/whitepaper/user-engagement-and-gamification-levels-rewards-and-leaderboards/levels-and-leveling-up-mechanism.md) A minimum user level may be set, requiring users to have achieved a certain level through active participation on the platform.
* [**User Type**](/home/whitepaper/core-mechanics-and-reward-system-of-oriole-insights/user-types-and-their-role-in-oriole-insights.md)**:** Certain polls may be restricted to specific user types, such as Early Bird, OG, Traders, Analysts, KOLs, **etc**.
* **Combination of Both:** Some polls may require a minimum user level and a specific user type.

These restrictions are project-dependent and are set to ensure that those engaging with the prediction are well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to the collective forecasting effort. Restrictions also prevent market manipulations and misleading the community by spamming predictions from just-registered users.
